Abstract
This paper introduces the input-output approach to environmental analysis carried out by the Yoshioka team of the Keio University. The paper focused on the cement industry, and the use of blast furnace slag is recommended to reduce CO2 emission in the cement industry.
Focusing on the issue of 'recycling' in the iron and steel industry, and the cement industry from the national economy point of view, the analytical results revealed that tremendous energy saving effects could be obtained with regards theabove two industries.
